Worksafe BC delays public hearings for changes in BC Dive Regs.

The proposal relating to Part 24, Diving, Fishing and Other Marine Operations, is not being taken to public hearings at this time by WorksafeBC to enable consideration of the new edition of CSA Standard Z275.4.
CSA Competency Standard Z275.4 has been recently published by the CSA and is now current. CADC is instrumental in formation of the content of the standard – as well as others – and welcomes the review by WorkSafeBC and other regulators as a standard to judge competency by in the diving industry. A nationally recognized standard of diving competency goes a long way to make a safer industry. CSA 275.4 compliance by CADC member companies is a condition of membership.
