CADC Members and members of the underwater industry in Canada today 


 

There is a call for nominations for the DCBC Lifetime Achievement Award for
an individual who has made significant contributions to the Canadian
underwater industry. Remember, this is the highest honour that an individual
can receive on behalf of the underwater industry in Canada. If you feel you
know someone who should receive this honor, please take the time submit the
nomination by Sept 15th, 2012.  Recognize those that have shaped – or are
shaping the industry you are in today. Without them

Call for Nominations for the Canadian Underwater Conference & Exhibition

Lifetime Achievement Award

 

The Canadian Underwater Conference Committee hosted its first conference in
2008.   That year we were pleased to present two awards:  the Lifetime
Achievement Award and the Technical Contributions Award.  These awards are
intended to recognize and honour individuals whose dedication and
accomplishments have significantly contributed to the Canadian underwater
industry.

 

Subsequently it was decided that only one award would be presented per year;
in 2009 we awarded the Technical Contributions Award to Mr. David Fullerton,
in 2010 we awarded the Lifetime Achievement award to Mr. Bob Landry and in
2011 we awarded the Technical Contributions Award to Dr. James McFarlane of
ISE.

At the 2012 conference, to be held in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador,
October 21st to the 23rd, we shall once again honour an individual who
merits the Lifetime Achievement Award. 

No restrictions are placed on whether the individual is or was an
occupational diver, is directly engaged in occupational diving, their
nationality, or other factors – only that the individual selected has made
significant contributions to the Canadian underwater industry. 

Please submit your nomination to the Diver Certification Board of Canada
(DCBC) office no later than September 29, 2012.   In doing so, please
remember that this is the highest honour that an individual can receive on
behalf of the Canadian underwater industry and therefore, you honour that
person through submittal of a
